Danny Brown - Brown Eyes (prod. Paul White)

Although this track isn't from Danny Brown's upcoming collaborative EP with Black Milk, titled Black & Brown, that project is in the works. You can check out the artwork above as well as the full tracklist down bottom.

T.I. - I'm Flexin' (prod. Big K.R.I.T.)

And you thought Clifford's post-jail music surge was finished? This time, rather then just a remix feature, we're blessed with a new single from T.I. featuring none other then the South's new go-to artist, Big K.R.I.T.

Sir Michael Rocks - Premier Politics [Mixtape]

We haven't heard too much about his illroots.com presented project, except for the lone leak, Cell Dope. One thing is for sure though, new music Mikey Rocks doesn't disappoint. Production and features on the mixtape include Alchemist, Chuck Inglish, Casey Veggies, Jeremih, Boldy James, and more. Hit the jump to check the full tracklist and to download.

T.I. Back: With 3 New Tracks

Since being released from prison once again, TIP has gotten right to work remixing tracks from 2 Chainz, Future, and Jeezy.

2 Chainz - Spend It (remix) ft. T.I.

Future - Magic (remix) ft. T.I.

Curren$y - Light Snacks

There are very few people in the rap game that put in more work then Curren$y. Fresh off his Verde Terrace mixtape, he already drops off another loose track. Word is that Pilot Talk 3 is also in the works.

Gilbere Forte - Black Soul ft. Big K.R.I.T.

Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger (remix) ft. Mac Miller & Christina Aguilera

The idea sounds like a perfect fit, but Mac didn't sound as strong on this track as we're used to hearing from him.

Styles P - Master Of Ceremonies [Mixtape]

SP has been busy for the past few months. This project is perfect for any of those people out there that have missed some of his latest freestyles, remixes, and features. Hit the jump for the tracklist and download link.

J. Cole Breaks Down Cole World Track-by-Track [Video]

Assuming everyone out there has given the whole album at least one run through (which you should, because it's most definitely worth it), what track(s) stood out to you?

Adele - Someone Like You [Video]

The English songstress continues her surge as her album 21 has surpassed the 10 million mark.

T-Pain - 5 O'Clock ft. Wiz Khalifa & Lily Allen [Video]

My late-night, driving home from work song gets it's set of visuals. This track is supposed to find it's way onto T-Pain's mythical rEVOLVEr album.

Yung Nate - Talk To Me (prod. Woody)

Nate's been on a bit of a tear as of late and it seems like his upcoming album, Meant To Be Broken, is really coming together. "Talk To Me" serves as the second single, behind "Love You More", and is also produced by his AtkboyEnt running-mate Woody.

Pmac - First Impressions [Video]

Check out the set of visuals for the title-track from Pmac's very dope mixtape.

Random Axe - Chewbacca ft. Roc Marciano [Video]

Haha! I always imagined the video for this track going something like this! Watch as Chewy gets ready to see the trio perform at Rock The Bells in San Fran.

B.o.B Reveals Sophomore Album Title [Video]

While visiting at V103, Bobby Ray let the word go that his first single, "Strange Clouds" featuring Lil Wayne, is actually the title-track for his second studio album. Seems that his success from The Adventures of Bobby Ray hasn't slowed down a bit, because that single has just recently hit #1 on iTunes.

Jay Rock - M.O.N.E.Y. [Video]

Follow Me Home is out now.

Wale - Lotus Flower Bomb ft. Miguel

According to Wale Folarin, his MMG-debut album is finally complete. So, in celebration, he decided to let go of a track called "Lotus Flower Bomb" that features Miguel.

Slick Rick - Children's Story [Live]

"Red Bull continued their international tour with another stop this time in the Bronx, New York to honor and reflect on the classic album "The Great Adventures of Slick Rick". With a classic performance from none other than Rick the Ruler, it felt like 1988 all over again!"

Curren$y - Ways To Kill Em [Video]

Off Spitta's Verde Terrace mixtape. I'm still patiently waiting on that project to drop a NoDJ version.

Tiffany Leigh - Round & Round ft. El Prez (prod. Woody)

Tiffany Leigh, who recently worked with Yung Nate, links up again with Woody and gets an El Prez feature for another pretty dope track. This chick definitely has a bright future in the Pop/R&B/hip-hop hooks game.

Bush - The Mirror of the Signs

The anticipation is over folks, Bush's long awaited comeback album, The Sea of Memories, has dropped! I've listed to the album straight through a few times. Overall, it's a solid album and any Bush fan should definitely spend the ten bucks and buy the album. However, it's no Sixteen Stone . Don't get me wrong, it's a good album, but its not a good Bush album. Let me explain. There's something missing. That gritty, rugged, sloppy, yet refined trademark Bush sound isn't there anymore. Let me say once again i'ts a good album. Did you hear me? Buy the album, its GOOD! Now, I attribute this change in sound to the fact that bands evolve over time, and advancements in the recording process have been made since 1994 when Sixteen Stone came out that gives this album a more polished sound. With that being said, I hope you listen to the album and enjoy this post.

Nickelback - Bottoms Up

Nickelback currently has two new singles out, "Bottoms Up", which you can listen to right here, and "When We Stand Together". These songs will be featured on their upcoming album Here and Now, landing November 21st. Now, Nickelback fans will understand why I chose to post this song rather than its calmer counterpart. Every Nickelback album always has at least one or two "radio-friendly" songs on it, while the other 80% of the album will be pure hard rock. From a business standpoint, it's pure genius. Honestly, how can any music fan dislike their catchy, emotion filled tunes that flood the airwaves whenever a new Nickelback album is out. However, with this great success the band achieves, radio lovers do not get the chance to hear what kind of band Nickelback truly is: a hard rocking, a$$ kicking, bass pounding, rock and roll machine! So, if you have always liked what you hear on the radio from these guys, here is your chance to hear what kind of band they really are. Beware, this song may cause an urge to turn the volume up to 10 and thrash around your house, dont blame me for breaking your mom's favorite vase. Enjoy!

Chuuwee - Chez Chit [Video]

Marky - Can We Chill ft. Asher Roth

Not the type of collaboration I would expect from these two, but, hell, it definitely works.

Pusha T - Don't Fuck With Me

Pusha goes in over Jai Paul's "BTSTU" just like Drake, but this could have some meaning behind it as there may be something heating up between Def Jam/ G.O.O.D. Music and Young Money.

Previous: XV - BITSTU

After a short preview, here's the new smash from Bobby Ray featuring Lil Wayne that's presumably gonna be the first single off B.o.B's sophomore album.

Let Luis Guzman take you around New York's LES and show you the ropes. Meet his friends: Justin Beiber, Mark Wahlberg, Kid Cudi, Bryan Greenburg, Lake Bell, Victor Rasuk, Duck Sauce, Q-Tip, Pharrell Williams, Asher Roth, Pusha T, and many more.
"

"It's like going to see Boys In The Hood, but this time from Shaolin"

Voli - Stress [Video]

Chiddy Bang - Mind Your Manners [Video]

Kind of an unofficial video for the Breakfast single, but it includes Chiddy and Xaphoon messing around in a skatepark and doing beer pong trick shots. So, it definitely gets the thumbs up.

Wale - Bait [Video]

*nsfw*

It seems like MMG go-to move when they don't have any ideas for a video is to just head on over to the local strip club with a video camera and lots of bills. From Wale's Eleven One Eleven Theory mixtape. Ambition drops eleven/one/eleven.

It's The Real: The Check-In w/ Childish Gambino [Video]

The Rosenthal brothers expected an interview at Rock The Bells with Common. Since he wasn't available for questioning, because he did not attend the New York stop of Rock The Bells, they decided to ask Donald Glover the same questions they would have asked Common if he had been there. With no surprise to anyone, comedy ensues.

Rihanna - We Found Love (Hopeless Love) ft. Calvin Harris

Here goes the first single from Ri Ri's new album that will be out on November 21st.

The RZA Speaks on Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) [Video]

"Reebok Classics and Rock The Bells brings you the exclusive: Classic Albums by Classic Artists featuring RZA of the famous Wu Tang Clan.

"I try to make albums like movies, man." Catching up with RZA behind the scenes at Rock the Bells, it was clear that he sees everything through the prism of a movie screen, including Wu-Tang's 1993 classic album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). When asked how it all came together, he compared the platinum album's genre-busting style and MC collaboratoin to John Woo's 1989 cult classic Hong Kong action film The Killer, just don't ask us what it means. RZA's lyrical genius is as prolific and out-there as ever, so grab yourself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and take a trip to Shaolin...RZA does not disappoint.
"

Timbaland - Pass At Me ft. Pitbull [Video]

Even if the song isn't all that great, there's still a lot of nice things to look at in the video.

September 21, 2011

Nick Javas - NFL Rhyme Reel (Week 1 + 2) [Video]

Week 1

Damn, I gotta remember to jump on these as soon as the week is over from now on. For those that aren't familiar with Nick Javas, this dude from Jersey was signed by DJ Premier to his Year Round Records not long ago. Last NFL season, he recorded one of these Rhyme Reels for each week and released them prior to the Monday night games. Some of you may remember seeing the Pepsi Max commercials during the playoffs last year that he was a part of with other artists such as B.o.B and Lupe Fiasco. Well, Javis is back for the 2011 season and I'm gonna try my hardest to stop on top of the new videos each week. The Week 1 video is up top (dead at that Lebron parody in the beginning) and you can check out the Week 2 video down bottom.

Mod Sun - Windows Down ft. Shwayze

Thurz - LA Riot [Album]

From DJBooth.net:
When Thurz released L.A. Riot it quickly vaulted into the indie album of the year discussion. So DJBooth teamed up with the L.A. emcee to re-release the intensely artistic project (previously only available on iTunes) for free. Music this powerful needs to be in the hands, and headphones, of as many people as possible.

In addition to rhymes from King Thurz himself, vocals come from Black Thought of The Roots, Strong Arm Steady, BJ the Chicago Kid and others, with beats from the likes of Ro Blvd, DJ Khalil, Aaron Harris and more.

Domo Genesis - Benediction [Radio Rip]

Before the Odd Future member's Under The Influence project drops on September 20th, he revealed one of the tracks, "Benediction" (a freestyle over Mobb Deep's "Hell On Earth") on Shade 45's Toca Tuesdays. I had no idea Domo had this in him, 'cause this shit really goes.
