B.o.B Pushes Back 'Strange Clouds', New Single Coming Soon

Following the news that his 'Strange Clouds' single has gone Platinum, B.o.B announced that the release date of his sophomore album, Strange Clouds, was being pushed from March 13th to May 1st. However, along with this disappointment came the good news that the next single, 'So Good', will hit iTunes this Valentine's Day.

Childish Gambino - Heartbeat [Video Teaser]

With Valentine's Day coming up, what better day for Donald to drop the video to his second single, 'Heartbeat', off his debut album. From the preview we can expect a movie-style music video to emulate the story behind my favorite track from Camp.

Earl Sweatshirt - Home

For the non-believers that didn't think the rumors were true (like myself), the young Odd Future member known as Earl Sweatshirt is back and already dropping new music. Earl had been spending quite some time at the Coral Reef Academy in Samoa where his mother had sent him due to his behavior and affiliation with Odd Future. Now, after an extensive "Free Earl" campaign, the soon-to-be 18 year old is back in the United States and already making noise. After dropping this viral video with a snippet of what sounded like a new song, Earl asked for 50k Twitter followers before he released the full version. Many claimed this to be a hoax, but 50k+ and counting followers later he followed through with his promise and voila: the link to Earl Sweatshirt's new track.

As of now, the only place it exists is on that site in which I can't seem to embed from. So, we'll have an update with a download as soon as possible.

Update: Somebody got their rip game proper. Shouts to illroots.

WZRD Album Pushed Back

Dot Da Genius took to his Twitter machine to announce the bad news. The upcoming WZRD (KiD CuDi & Dot Da Genius) album will no longer be released on January 30th, but rather February 28th. However, they will still be releasing the first two singles, 'Brake' and 'Teleport 2 Me', on iTunes on the original release date. Shouts to RR.
"Hey Guys, WZRD Update. Me and Cudi have been working on our debut album and it’s almost near completion. We are in the final stages of mastering but we really had to take time and pay attention to the sonics as this is new territory for us.

With that being said, we have decided to change the release date. We are looking roughly at Feb 28th. Y’all know how Cudi is’ and I’m the same way. Everything has to be in place and now it is. I know it’s late notice, we were trying to keep the date but got wrapped up making this album perfect for y’all.

However for making you guys wait a little longer we will release ‘Brake‘ & ‘Teleport 2 Me‘ on iTunes on the previously said date. AS WELL AS ‘DOSE OF DOPENESS’. Hopefully that will hold you guys over until the album drops!"

Mike D Defines "Illin" [Video]

Stephen Colbert calls on the Beastie Boys' hip-hop ebonics expert to lay the law down on what "illin" really means. This argument comes after the word was used in a crossword puzzle, but a reader felt like the clue given did not match the word.

Common Freestyles at D. Wade's 30th Birthday [Video]

While out in Miami for the celebration of Dwayne Wade's 30th born on day, Common Sense took the stage as one of three performs (T.I. and Rick Ross were the others). Since they both are from the same neighborhood in Chicago, he felt that it was only right that he blessed the room with some bars off the top over the piano keys to 'Celebrate'. After all, what would a birthday be without Common freestyling for you personally. Maybe I'll work on that one for my next bday.

B.o.B In The Studio With Waka Flocka [Video]

Two ATLiens get together in the studio. The end result is to be a new "anthem" called 'Fist Pump'. This isn't a collaboration I would expect, but when Bobby Ray gets in the studio to do his magic there's no telling what the end product will sound like. We're thinking that this track will end up being on his sophomore album, Strange Clouds.

Amber Rose Set To Premiere Her First Music Single

Amber Rose seems to be looking for a little extra time before her 15 minutes of fame are up. She's getting ready to release her highly-anticipated first music single along with her boy toy and Grammy nominated rapper Wiz Khalifa. Perez Hilton is getting the exclusive premiere of the track when it finally drops.
"This is a very personal song to me that I wanted to record for my fans. I want people to see the world from my eyes, you know, from BEHIND MY SHADES! It’s my interpretation of what it means to be “FAMOUS,” which is not something superficial but instead being self-confident and happy with who you are. You can feel famous everyday if you believe in yourself!" -Amber

ScHoolboy Q - Habits & Contradictions (PSA) [Video]

Just over a year since the release of Setbacks, the Black Hippy member is getting set for the follow-up album, Habits & Contradictions. The release, January 14th, couldn't come at a better time for Q. He was recently nominated for the XXL 2012 Freshman Class cover along with 50 other great artists. Based on his first project alone, we feel that he should have no problem receiving the honor. Also in his favor is the fact that the two of the other three members of Black Hippy have already been nominated in past years (Kendrick Lamar in 2011, Jay Rock in 2010). Habits & Contradictions should only strengthen his chances of making it.

Nickelback Responds To Black Keys' Drummer Diss

We're all used to hearing about "beef" on the regular between hip-hop artists, but now when we find out about two alternative rock groups throwing shots at each other there's no telling what to think of it. In their cover story with Rolling Stone, The Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney unexpectedly stated that  "Rock & roll is dying because people became OK with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world."

P-Willi will agree with me when I say that although the radio hits that Nickelback creates can kinda make them seem like sell-outs, the rest of their albums for the most part really rock hard (except for maybe their most recent one). However, you can tell that Nickelback is new at this whole "beef" thing, because I believe rule number three is never say "Hehe" at the end of a statement when trying to rebuttal a diss. They may want to take some lessons from Robin Thicke.

Round One winner: The Black Keys.
