Chuuwee - Crown Don't Make You King ft. DJ Next (prod. Audible Doctor)

It feels like his Watching The Throne and The Millennium Falcon (Episode 1) mixtapes just dropped last week, but Chuuwee's already gearing up for the release of his newest project, Crown Me King, that's due out very soon. This man's put so much work in the past year or so that he's clearly a front-runner for XXL's 2013 Freshman cover. Dare we look that far ahead?

Chuuwee rips it on his newest track from his upcoming Crown Me King project. This about sums up my thoughts on him nicely:

"It’s that time of the year, XXL’s annual “Freshman List” was recently announced and with it comes the inevitable talking points that are generated by whom and who did not make the cut. While many fans have already added the young Sacramento spitter into the conversation, one thing is for certain, with the release of two new projects over the course of the next four-months, Chuuwee aims to prove he is definitely an emcee to watch and listen for."

No matter what artists XXL chose for their always scrutinized Freshman cover, nobody's going to be completely happy. I'm sure even those who were choosing artists for the cover weren't even completely sold on some of the finally choices. To each his own right? Two of the nicest up and comers now were recently part of this "Sacramento Freshmen 2011 Cypher" that included some other young rappers coming out of Sac-town. I knew Sacramento had hella talent, but really had no idea that it ran this deep. Damn.

This Sac-town artist has been all over the place lately releasing tons of material in the past year and never once sacrificing the musics quality. Chuuwee & Sundown (of Act Proof) - The Millenium Falcon (Episode 1) [Mixtape]

Sacramento artist Chuuwee has linked up with Raleigh artist Sundown (of Actual Proof and Jamla Recrods) for this collab mixtape. This 12-track project was recorded in just 11 days and features the likes of Thee Tom Hardy, Big Remo, Sean Boog, and more. Hit the jump for the tracklist and download link.

Chuuwee & Sundown (of Act Proof) - Carbonite ft. Carbin & Drique London

We've already talked very highly of Chuuwee. Now he's teaming up with Sundown of Actual Proof (under 9th Wonder's IWWMG/Jamla Records) for a collaborative project called The Millennium Falcon.Watch for that to drop on January 21st. Oh, and Chuuwee goes in of course.

This set of visuals that includes some of the dopest artists out of Sacramento comes from J.Good's Searching For Alicia Silverstone project that I've been meaning to post up. J.Good and Chuuwee are leading a bright hip-hop movement coming out of Sac-town. Expect to hear their names buzzing more in 2012.

Chuuwee has already dropped two very dope projects this year (Be Cool and Watching The Throne) and now he's getting ready to release another EP called Crown Me King. 'Smoke One For Doom' marks the first release from that project that will be released soon. This dude is putting Sacramento hip-hop on the map.
