Jim Jones - Believe Magic ft. Lloyd (prod. Girl Talk)

The latest episode of the Pitchfork.tv series "Selector" is pretty special. In a deviated from the usual "Selector" formula (in which rappers choose from two beats produced by indie artists for a freestyle backing track), we brought Dipset MC Jim Jones and mashup maestro Girl Talk together in Jones' Nomad District studio. Together, they created a new track: "Believe in Magic", produced by Girl Talk using a sample of 1970s soul group Honey Cone's "Want Ads" and freestyled by Jones. Jones liked the results much that he brought in R&B crooner Lloyd to contribute a hook and plans to release it as a single in the near future.
This is a pretty dope idea brought together by Pitchfork.tv, and Girl Talk did a crazy job with the beat, but I don't feel like Jim Jones is the right person for this song.
