The Catch Up: Outasight [Mix]

Residing from Yonkers, NY, Outasight seemingly came out of nowhere when his smash single, 'Tonight Is The Night', started blowing up from its exposure on Fox's show The X-Factor. Luckily for you, we've been following OU, real name Richard Andrew, since even before he was signed by Warner Records way back in 2009.

Although he is considered a hip-hop artist (he's nominated for XXL's 2012 Freshman Class cover), you can tell from listening to his songs that he gets his musical influences from a few different genres. It's tough to put a label on the type of music that OU actually makes, but what's easy to recognize is his superb ability to write catchy-as-hell hooks and rhymes that make him an artist to keep an eye out for in 2012 and more years to come.
