Hilltop Hoods - Rattling The Keys To The Kingdom

After P-Willi introduced you to these Aussies a couple of weeks back, we get this new track from Hilltop Hoods that was featured on a multi-artist mixtape that dropped yesterday. 'Rattling The Keys To The Kingdom' is the second look from the group's upcoming sixth studio album, Drinking From The Sun.

Wale - Albert Pujols ft. Rick Ross & Fabolous

A leftover from Ambition or a new track from Self Made Vol. 2? Either way, only the tagged version is available for now, but you know how those things work. Shouts to DJ Spinatik.

Wale - Sabotage ft. Lloyd [Lyric Video]

Taking a similar route as many other artists nowadays, Wale drops the official lyric video for his Ambition track featuring Lloyd.

David Guetta - Turn Me On ft. Nicki Minaj [Video]

For those who don't know already, Guetta's Nothing But The Beat album is a monster. The newest single featuring Nicki Minaj has seen a lot of play from the radio to the clubs and now it has its own music video as well.

WZRD - Teleport 2 Me, Jamie ft. Desire

Even though about two weeks ago we were given the unfortunate news that Kid Cudi and Dot Da Genius' collab WZRD album was being pushed back, they still followed through with their promise of making the first two singles available for purchase on iTunes today. Down below you can stream their newest single, 'Teleport 2 Me, Jamie', as well as the full/mastered version of 'Brake'. The album's new release date is February 28th.

Busta Rhymes - Why Stop Now ft. Chris Brown [Video]

Directed by Hype Williams
"Back in November, Busta Rhymes offered you all a chance to appear in the music video for "Why Stop Now," his latest single. Hundreds of you took up his challenge, downloaded the song, learned the verse, and filmed yourselves spitting it. Busta watched the entries, selected his favorites, and had director Hype Williams splice them into the final cut.

And now we're happy to debut the results. Busta once again demonstrates he knows how to own a video, even when Chris Brown's doing some mind-blowing acrobatics. Take a look, and see which fans did the verse nice enough to earn Busta's seal of approval. Peep the winners' and non-winners' submissions here: http://www.youtube.com/user/SpitLikeBustaRhymes"

Karmin - Brokenhearted

Everyone's favorite YouTube cover duo is back with the second single off their upcoming debut album. Not gonna lie, their first single 'Crash Your Party' has been my guilty pleasure track since the video dropped. It's crack. If you're feeling this new single you can support it when it hits iTunes on February 7th. Be sure to check them out performing this track on Saturday Night Live on February 13th as well.

Bei Maejor - The Truth [Video]

Despite the fact that he only sparingly drops new music, Bei Maejor has been one of our favorite artists to follow in the past couple of years. From his record with J. Cole to his 'Swim Good' cover on his maejorMaejor mixtape, he has dropped some pure, quality music. Maejor is definitely an act to keep an eye out for in 2012, especially with his Upscale EP on its way. 'The Truth' is the first record we're hearing from that project that is rumored to be coming soon.

Previous: Bei Maejor Makes A Christmas Beat [Video]

Lil Wayne - Mirror ft. Bruno Mars [Video]

Can't say I'm a huge fan of the track itself, but this bonus cut, featuring Bruno Mars, from Wayne's Carter IV album gets a pretty cool set of visuals. What was everyone's opinion on that album anyway?

Previous: Bruno Mars - It Will Rain [Video]

Cris Cab - Echo Boom [Mixtape]

The time has come for the world to enjoy the newest Cris Cab project, Echo Boom. After the praise we gave his last effort, Foreword, you already know we're gonna have this new mixtape on repeat pretty much all week. Echo Boom contains 12 original tracks from the young, Miami native that are sure to get you feeling good during this beautiful winter spring weather we're having in New York. D-Pryde - The Motto Freestyle [Video]

Meet D-Pryde: a young, 17-year-old rapper/writer/singer from Toronto that's been making music beyond his years for quite some time now. After many of his freeverse videos on YouTube became popular and received a combined total of over 31 million views, D-Pryde (real name Russell Llantino) dropped his first ever mixtape album in June of 2011 called Mars. If you're feeling his 'Motto' remix as much as we are, you can hit the jump to stream and download his full mixtape that includes features from Joe Budden, August Rigo, and more. The project is very impressive for any artist and even more so for somebody at his age. In his own words:
"This album is basically a story of how my life changed in a short year after signing my deal” said D-Pryde. “I was a kid that grew up too fast; so with all I learned, I flushed all that knowledge and struggle into 15 songs for a fan base that witnessed me grow."

Lyrx - Hands High

This new track from Lyrx called 'Hands High' is the first look from his upcoming Musical Movement project. The dude is making a lot of moves in just a short period of time and he's got a lot more ready to surprise everyone with soon, including shows and collaborations with some big names. Go over and support his fan page to find out more about him and to get the newest updates.

Pretty Lights - We Must Go On [Video]

Always awesome to get some new, free material from Pretty Lights. This one comes with its own self-produced video that was made by Pretty Lights' own Derek Vincent Smith and their creative director. The soulful hip-hop sound is perfect for lounging out to on a Sunday like today.
"The two of us traveled together all over the world during 2011, and filmed as much as our schedules allowed. Locations included in the video include Detroit, Warsaw, Oslo, NYC, Vancouver, London, Paris, Prague, New Orleans, Auckland, Sydney, Denver and many more.
We used 2 canon 7Ds and about 6 different lenses and edited it all in FCP X."

Frank Ocean - Voodoo

Frank Ocean took to his Tumblr to share this new track with everyone. Not sure if it's to be featured on his upcoming album or if it's just a loose song, but there's no complaints from us either way. Be on the lookout for more from Frank as his Def Jam debut album gets closer to its spring release.

Stalley - Cash And My Cutty (prod. Ski Beatz)

Stalley drops another one off from the vaults. With two freebies in the last week being let go, I have a feeling that a new Stalley project is in the works and on its way soon. It's been way too long since his Lincoln Way Nights mixtape album was released.

Yelawolf - Rack City Freestyle

And the remixes keep coming! Listen as the 'Bama boy takes his shot at 'Rack City'. Maybe I should have just held onto all of these and posted them all together? Too late.

Mac Miller - Death Of The Emcee

A little late on this one, but here's the first preview to Mac's upcoming Frat Rap mixtape dropping on Groundhog's Day (2/2/12). As expected from its name, expect features from "frat rappers" like Sammy Adams, Huey Mack, and more. Shouts to Mr. Peter Parker.

Tyga - Rack City (remix) ft. Wale, Fabolous, Young Jeezy, Meek Mill, & T.I.

Tyga recruits some big names for this mega-mix of his red hot single. Who had your favorite/least favorite verse? I'm still hooked on the Bobby Ray remix as of now.

Tony Hawk Speaks With Tyler, The Creator [Video]

Even though they were withdrawn from performing at New Zealand's Big Day Out Festival due to their explicit and alleged "homophobic" content, hip-hop collective Odd Future went on to perform several sold out shows separate from the festival. The Big Day Out struggled to sell most of their own tickets. Now with their very own pop-up shop in New Zealand attracting lines blocks long, it's easy to say that Tyler, The Creator and crew have made a name for themselves around the world. Watch as Tony Hawk gets a piece of the action as they talk about skating, art, and upcoming projects.

Imperial Teen - Runaway

Known for their post-grunge, alt-rock style of the 90's, Imperial Teen has evolved to become a relevant band in today's music world, and a pretty good one at that. These San Fransisco based rockers are about to release their 5th studio album titled Feel The Sound January 31st of this year. Here's the first single off their new album, "Runaway".

Ke$ha - Sleazy 2.0 ft. Wiz Khalifa, Andre 3000, T.I., & Lil Wayne [Video]

ScHoolboy Q - NigHtmare on Figg St. [Video]

Not even a week after the release of Habits & Contradictions, Q has already dropped two accompanying videos for the project. This track was produced by A$AP Ty Beats. There's no arguing that TDE is about to take over the game real soon. Go cop ScHoolboy Q's album if you haven't done so already.

Check out their latest album Daydreams out now.

Language Arts Crew - Talk Big

What they do is right in their name, Language Arts Crew knows how to tangle words together to make some pretty impressive musical art. Their unorthodox style makes them a breath of fresh air in the hip-hop world so support these 5 guys from San Fransisco and check out their latest project Brand New Old Shit Vol. 1.

Lyriciss - Get It & Go [Video]

Got this in my inbox and had to post it. Lyriciss' flow is impressive, and I'm a sucker for bright colors in a music video. Filmed in DC, the video chronicles the hustles of a young man in the city just trying to get by and provide for his family. 'Get It & Go' is produced by Soulful!, with cuts by DMC champion DJ I-Dee, and can be found on his recently released The Balance EP: Money. We look forward to hearing much more from Lyriciss.

Chuuwee - Watching The Throne [Video]

Check out my iTunes' "recently played" list and you'll probably find a whole lot of Chuuwee on there. This Sac-town artist has been all over the place lately releasing tons of material in the past year and never once sacrificing the musics quality. 'Watching From Throne' is the title track to his most recent project. Be on the lookout for Crown Me King coming soon.

Cris Cab - Rihanna's Gun ft. Mavado & Wyclef

Little bit of a different sound from Cris Cab this time around, but he's helped out from some legends in the game. This is the third track already from his Echo Boom mixtape that's dropping this upcoming Tuesday, January 31st.

Chris Brown - Turn Up The Music

This was posted by Chris Brown on Twitter, “New FORTUNE single coming 1/26!!!. TURN UP THE MUSIC!!!!”. So naturally I had to investigate. The discovery was a brand spankin' new single by Chris Brown off Fortune. I guess the lesson is, if someone says something on twitter, it must be true. Oh, and the song's a BANGER too.

Emilio Rojas - Breaking Point [Mixtape]

It's been about a year since Life Without Shame was released, but now Rochester native Emilio Rojas is back with his newest project, Breaking Point. Emilio rarely disappoints, and with not a single other rap feature and production from the likes of M-Phazes, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, V12 The Hitman, The Olympicks, and more, this mixtape could be on heavy rotation for quite some time. Hit the jump for the stream/download.

Yelawolf & Ed Sheeran - You Don't Know (For F*ck Sake)

This is a really interesting track. I came across it earlier today and was surprised that a Brit, Sheeran, and the Bama Boy have a collaborative EP,  The Slumdon Bridge, to be released this year. Until the drop of that, take a listen to the first of it to be released and we'll be sure to keep you posted on this project.

Punchline - Universe

While it may seem that pop-punk is only played on high school radio stations it's nice to occasionally hear some of those upbeat lyrics and riffs we all know so well. Punchline delivers simple, yet catchy music that's easy on the ears. Here's "Universe" off their So Nice To Meet You EP.

Logic - Young Sinatra III [Video]

Gotta admit that I slept on Logic's Young Sinatra mixtape when it first dropped. After finally downloading it and giving it a couple spins, it's clear to see that this dude is talented. Before he gets ready to release a new project this spring, he finishes up his 'Young Sinatra' track trilogy with the third installment (or at least I expect it to be finished). If you're interested in hearing what this kid is all about, this 'Young Sinatra III' track sums him up perfectly. Dope. Update: Post edited with the download link just below.

Emilio Rojas Speaks on 'Breaking Point' Mixtape [Interview]

We hope you didn't forget that Emilio's Breaking Point mixtape is dropping tomorrow, because we sure didn't. Take a listen as he chops it up with MTV about the project including what features to expect and how it sounds "different" then the past. You can also hit the jump to check the official artwork for the Billionaire Boys Club hosted mixtape.

Joe Budden - No Church In The Wild

"Take away what we love, we'd all be Joe Paterno"

Jumpoff Joey goes in over Jay and Ye's Watch The Throne intro. It's been a while since we heard 1/4 of Slaughterhouse go this hard over a track. Maybe this means he's in some kinda zone while working on the new Slaughterhouse album. We can only hope!

John Legend - Tonight (Best You Ever Had) ft. Ludacris

John Legend's music really doesn't disappoint, does it? He links up with Ludacris for this track that was inspired by the film Think Like A Man. 'Tonight (Best You Ever Had)' will be featured on the movies soundtrack along with music from other artists like Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, and Rick Ross.

Joe Cool - Ghetto Bass [Video]

After his Cooley Hi mixtape dropped last week, Joe Cool hits us with a second set of visuals from the project. Joe's delivery sounds so smooth over the heavy bass on this track. It's still only one of many great tracks from his mixtape that you need to check out if you haven't done so already.

Previous: Joe Cool - I Wanna See Drugs [Video]

Jared Evan - Kill Me (prod. !llmind)

This is the second track we've heard produced by !llmind off Jared Evan's upcoming The Fourth Chapter EP and they're two for two so far. I have a feeling that when that project drops, the world will finally get familiar with the very talented Jared Evan.

Masspike Miles - Say Hello To Forever [Video] x [Mixtape]

I thought I'd make a nice convenient post for all the MMG fans looking for this one. This is the video off the title track of Masspike Miles new mixtape Say Hello to Forever. It's just the latest thing from the evil empire. The video is the perfect compliment to Miles voice. The mixtape doesn't have too many big name features, but a few notables include Fred the Godson, Raekwon and Wiz Khalifa. After the jump you can find the track list and download link to the full mixtape.

Action Bronson & Statik Selektah - Cirque Du Soleil [Video]

Directed by Rik Cordero

Somehow this video from Action and Statik's Well Done collab album slipped past our radar when it dropped back in late December. Better late then never, right?

The Foodchain - Groove [Video]

Check out this hip-hop collective coming out of Denver, CO that goes by The Foodchain. This large group, comprised of 4 MCs, 2 producers, a DJ, and a drummer, has been been lucky enough to rock the same stages as Talib Kweli, 1982, Artifacts, and more. Now, they have just released their newest album, Brunch, for free with 'Groove' being the second single from that project. If you like what you hear from this track, you can hit the jump to stream/download the whole project.

Timeflies - The Rematch [Video]

Notorious B.I.G. - Going Back To Cali (Viceroy "Jet Life" Remix)

A classic Biggie track remixed with steel drums? Yes, please! Definitely one of the coolest mixes I've heard in a while because of its ability to create an entirely different sound to the track, while at the same time not taking away from the integrity of Biggie's lyrics. Gonna have to put this one the shelves and save it for summer time.

Frank Ocean - Thinking About You (Tori Kelly Cover) [Video]

Without a doubt my favorite R&B track of 2011 had to be Frank Ocean's (or Bridget Kelly's) "Thinking About You". It was smooth, powerful, and full of emotion. I wouldn't expect anybody covering this track to possibly make it sound any better then it already is, but this came damn close. With Angie Girl on the beatbox, the beautiful Tori Kelly kills this cover while playing guitar.

The Cool Kids - Gone Fishing [Instrumentals]

For those of you that were as disappointed as me with Chuck's beat tape, Working, that dropped earlier this month, we have a nice treat for you. Even though they're not instrumentals you've probably never heard before, you can now listen to 16 tracks of pure, signature Chuck Inglish sound that you didn't get with Working. This also includes some extra tracks from their Merry Christmas EP as well. So, hit the jump to stream the instrumentals, or download them all to enjoy on-the-go, because we all know there's nothing like listening to a smooth, bass-kicking beat from Chuck while riding around town. Shouts to 2DBz.

XV - Batteries ft. Trae The Truth [Video]

Vizzy shot a music video for the loosie track he dropped back in September. 'Batteries' is produced by The Awesome Sound, who XV has worked with plenty of times in the past, and features a verse from Trae The Truth. I'm on my "Vizzy for XXL 2012 Freshman Class" campaign.

Gangrene (Alchemist & Oh No) - Vodka & Ayahuasca [Video]

On the day their album is released, the duo of Alchemist and Oh No drop the video for the title track. This is some creative sh*t right here, as they were clearly influenced by "World's Wildest Police Chases", and maybe some Ayahuasca, when coming up with the concept. You can even catch an Action Bronson sighting at the end of the video. Go cop Vodka & Ayahuasca on iTunes now.

Meek Mill - LA Leakers Freestyle [Video]

Meek Mill drops a quick free over the Drizzy beat....just like every other rapper out. But the more important thing is he confirms what Wale hinted at on twitter last night, new music from Wale. THAT'S what we're all really waiting for, right?

Thomas Gold - Eyes Wide Open ft. Dirty South & Kate Elsworth

Here we have another BANGER from Gold and Dirty South. Both these DJs are set to have huge years in 2012. 'Eyes Wide Open' also features vocals by Kate Elsworth, who you'll be hearing a lot this year on tracks with Kaskade among other big name DJs.

Evidence - Falling Down [Video]

Rhymesayers' artist Evidence drops this "Sin City"-style video for track 15 from his Cats & Dogs album that's available on iTunes now. K'NAAN - Is Anybody Out There ft. Nelly Furtado [Lyric Video]

"Last week we shared the song "Nothing to Lose" from Somali/Canadian rapper & singer K'NAAN featuring Nas. Today we have another brand new cut, this time featuring the sultry Nelly Furtado called "Is Anybody Out There."

Both tracks are from K'NAAN's brand new EP More Beautiful Than Silence, which is available today exclusively on iTunes.

In addition to the EP, K’NAAN’s new album is set to be released in Spring 2012. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Wrapping his world tour for his acclaimed sophomore album Troubadour in the fall of 2010, K’NAAN has since been hard at work in the studio. The dynamic 5 tracks featured on his EP More Beautiful Than Silence will give fans a taste of the diverse sound that they have come to know the artist for, while highlighting the expansive sonic direction K’NAAN has explored writing and recording over the last year."

Bruce Springsteen - We Take Care Of Our Own

A$AP Rocky - Wassup (prod. Clams Casino) [Video]

Since its release on Halloween, we've had A$AP Rocky's Live.Love.A$AP mixtape on constant rotation with 'Wassup' being one particular song we've had on repeat. The leader of the A$AP mob, A$AP Rocky has received so much recognition from his music in the past few months and was even able to ink a $3 million deal with Sony/RCA. The Harlem native continues to impress us with his music even in 2012, as he has already released a couple new tracks in the new year. Pretty much a shoe-in already for the XXL 2012 Freshman Class, we'll see if A$AP Rocky can take his career to among the elite in the industry in the next couple years.
"Harlem rap sensation A.$.A.P Rocky teamed up with VICE to create a video inspired by Scarface, Belly, Enter The Dragon, The Warriors and Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.

The result is a video that follows A.$.A.P Rocky through a dreamy fantasy world filled with 40s, Ferari's, homies and hoards of cash."

Chip Tha Ripper - Tell Ya Friends [Mixtape]

Chip's mixtape game has been so on point in the last few years, so we're sure this one should be no different. In fact, this one is actually loaded with some more familiar names then in the past. It just goes to show that his grind has gotten him some well deserved recognition in the industry.

Lyrx - Mama Said

I think Sundays have become my unofficial day to find new artists. Check out Lyrx, a 19-year-old rapper coming out of Bainbridge Island, Washington that only just started writing and rapping this year, but has already performed all over the world. Lyrx is just another piece to the already extensive list of great hip-hop artists coming out of the Northwest. This track was produced by C-Wing and samples 'Mama Said' by The Shirelles.

Tech N9ne - Am I A Psycho ft. B.o.B & Hopsin [Video]

Here goes the video for a stand-out track from Tech N9ne's All 6's And 7's album.  The three different styles of Tech N9ne, B.o.B, and Hopsin collide to bring out the "psycho" in each other. You can probably catch Tech N9ne perform this song somewhere near you when he starts his 90-stop tour soon.

Nicki Minaj - Stupid Hoe [Video]

Directed by Hype Williams

I really don't even know what to think of Nicki's music anymore. Anybody with me when I say I would much prefer to just hear her on features then her own music? At least the video was directed by Hype to give it some entertainment value.

In other news, her upcoming album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, has been pushed back to an April 3rd release. Hopefully that gives her enough time to rethink putting this track on the album.

ScHoolboy Q - Hands On The Wheel ft. A$AP Rocky [Video]

Since Habits & Contradictions dropped last weekend I don't think I've listened to any song more then this one right here. Two of my favorites in the game right now go in over a sample from Lissie's 'Pursuit Of Happiness' cover. Even the video jumps around a lot, it somehow manages to get the message of the song across perfectly.

Tito Lopez - Conversation With Tito

The reason we haven't heard much from Tito recently is because the Mississippi artist has been busy in the studio with the likes of Dr. Dre, Drumma Boy, and others. 'Conversation With Tito' should be able to hold us over until we're blessed with a new project him.

Hilltop Hoods - I Love It ft. Sia

Yet another solid artist from "down under", Hilltop Hoods have been rhymin' and rockin' in Australia for over a decade now. Their latest single "I Love It" featuring Sia is a catchy tune that has an old school feel to it and pays homage to the group's hip-hop roots. It's easy to see these guys love what they do and every line comes from the heart. Be on the lookout for their new album Drinking From The Sun hitting shelves March 9th of this year.

B.J. The Chicago Kid - His Pain ft. Kendrick Lamar

Sounds like Kendrick put a lot of emotion into this track as he takes over the duties for the entire first half. Then listen as B.J. Then listen as Chicago Kid jumps in and the drums start to take over on top of the smooth jazz beat. Crazy!

Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know ft. Kimbra

Belgian-born and raised in Australia Gotye has found his way to the top of the Australian charts with his mystic voice and quiet yet melodic writing style. According to ARIA (Australian Record Industry Association) "Somebody That I Used To Know" is currently sitting at number 16 on the charts but did spend its fair share of time in the number 1 spot. That's right folks, this is considered "pop" music in Australia. Now, there's nothing wrong with mainstream music, as Australia does have their share of American "pop" tunes in their top 50 singles chart. However, I do think that the US music industry can learn a thing or two from ARIA because this song (and it's a very good one indeed) would never reach #1 on the US charts, and there is definitely something wrong with that.

B.o.B - Rack City Freestyle [Video]

Cobra Starship - Middle Finger ft. Mac Miller [Video]

An interesting collaboration to say the least. Mac makes two appearances on the track at the very beginning and towards the end. Could definitely see the radio taking advantage of this track in the next few weeks or so. What's your opinion on these two artists working together?

After opening up for Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj on their Femme Fatale tour this past summer, they've worked with some of the biggest names in dance music including Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Kaskade, Afrojack, and more.
