Frank Ocean - PDA [Unreleased Backstreet Boys Demo]

Maybe Frank Ocean has been the in the game much longer than we thought. This previously unreleased track from his Lonny Breaux days certainly has a familiar pop sound and may sound completely familiar to any major pop music fans out there. This demo was actually used by the Backstreet Boys for a song off their 2009 album This Is Us (yeah, I had no idea either). It's great to see some of Frank's old material starting to show up more often. Listening to his music from years ago definitely give us a good sense of his growth.

Frank Ocean - Thinking About You (Radio Edit)

Quite a while back now, Frank Ocean's version of Bridget Kelly's Roc Nation single hit the internets with a strong buzz. Immediately being recognized as better then Bridget's track, it became easy to see that it would be more successful if pushed as Frank's song. Now about eight months later, 'Thinking About You' has hit the radio as a new Frank Ocean single with a slightly different sound then the original.

Frank Ocean took to his Tumblr to share this new track with everyone. Not sure if it's to be featured on his upcoming album or if it's just a loose song, but there's no complaints from us either way. Be on the lookout for more from Frank as his Def Jam debut album gets closer to its spring release.

Frank Ocean - Thinking About You (Tori Kelly Cover) [Video]

Without a doubt my favorite R&B track of 2011 had to be Frank Ocean's (or Bridget Kelly's) "Thinking About You". It was smooth, powerful, and full of emotion. I wouldn't expect anybody covering this track to possibly make it sound any better then it already is, but this came damn close. With Angie Girl on the beatbox, the beautiful Tori Kelly kills this cover while playing guitar.

Jay Electronica & Frank Ocean Working On G.O.O.D. Music Album

As if the G.O.O.D. Music roster wasn't star-studded enough! Reports from Marsha Ambrosius' Twitter machine say that Jay Electronica and Frank Ocean have been in the studio the past few days with her and the G.O.O.D. Music crew. My anticipation of this album may have just tripled in size.

Odd Future Announces New Mixtape & Tyler's Album This Spring

The Odd Future crew is getting together to release the follow-up to their 2008 mixtape with OF Tape Vol.2 coming on March 20th via Odd Future Records. The new project will include new music from each of their affiliated artists (Yes, Frank Ocean. No, Earl Sweatshirt.) and will also include a mini, 10-city US tour.

Also in the works is Tyler, The Creator's sophomore LP, Wolf, that they also say should be ready by the Spring. Mellowhype's Numbers album is scheduled for a summer release.

During a sit-down, Frank discusses moving from NO to LA after Katrina hit, his new album dropping in the spring, and much more. New music from Frank Ocean? Not quite. The opening vocals from Frank can be found on a previously released track called "Acura Integurl". The vibe I get from this track is that Billionaire Boyscout remixed the beat to that track, while leaving Frank's vocals intact, and Supanatra hopped on at the end with an added verse. Well done, I must say.

Frank Ocean - The Lonny Breaux Collection [Compilation]

Over the past summer months, quite a few "unreleased" tracks from the Odd Future R&B singer have surfaced with little to no detail accompanying those tracks stating where they're from or where they'll end up. For example, just today I spotted one of these songs in question pop up over at goodmusicallday.com (listen to "Dying For Your Love" here). While listening, this track began to have a familiar sound, so I decided to do a little scouting through my iTunes library -- and there it was right there. It was part of a .zip folder that was made up of older Frank Ocean material from back when he worked under the stage-name Lonny Breaux (actually, Breaux happens to be the surname he was born into). So to try to possibly clear up any more new material we're going to be hearing from Mr. Ocean, I decided to re-up The Lonny Breaux Collection for everyone's enjoyment. Right when I think that the Odd Future member has another hit song on his hands with this one, I found out that it's only a demo intended for Roc Nation's own Bridget Kelly who will call it "Thinking About Forever". For those who don't know, Bridget Kelly has been seen singing "Empire State of Mind" with Jay-Z during his Blueprint 3 tour and at a 9/11 memorial show. With this possibly being her lead single for her debut album, expect great things from Ms. Kelly coming in the future.

With Odd Future performing at the Highline Ballroom in NYC on Friday the 13th (why didn't I know about this?), Frank Ocean hit the stage to perform "Novacane". Apparently this song has been burning up the radio on Hot97. Unfortunately, I don't listen to the radio enough to realize that but it's still awesome to hear.
